ok... so I went to the superthread! (which is AWESOME!!!) but i couldn't find a link for what I need.
My husband is post treatment. He has recieved 20 HBO treatments and will now have a tooth pulled. Then he will receive 10 more HBO treatments. What should I watch for? How will I know if he isn't going to heal?
Thanks for your continued support and dedication.

Well on March 25th the Dr told us it would be 4-8 weeks before the cavity would be completely healed... as of today April 26th it is not completely healed but it continues to get better. We believe the HBO treatments really helped. His eye sight is back to normal.
I will complete this post the day the cavity is completly healed. Will also post if we have any other issues with it (which we truely would be surprised by)
On a side note we have had a CT and ENT check up and NED ... We did have some concern that the HBO treatment would strengthen any cancer cells that were left...just as it does the healthy cells... but all is well so far!
NED and God be with you!

I've never heard that one before. Larry get a mouthwash with no alcohol in it or just make your own with salt or baking soda. Invest in a water-pik to get the stubborn food out from those back teeth.

I had stage 4 squamous carcinoma in 2015. In February of 2017 while at a routine teeth cleaning they discovered my back molar on the side of where I received radiation was in terrible shape and my Dentist referred me to an Oral Surgeon because of my history with radiation, as well as the fact that I had received over 7000 rads on that side of my throat. I went through 25 hyperbaric chamber treatments and then an additional 8 after extraction. I had some side effects from the treatments that were understated to me. Yes your vision will get blurry, however, I did not realize that for me blurry meant according to my Optometrist I was then driving with such bad eye sight that by law was illegal for me to drive. I had tubes but into both ears after two days of treatment and since that day my hearing has been significantly worse. The tubes are still in and even though everyone is loud enough I can not make out the words being spoken. I also was recovering from my second knee replacement done in November of 2016 and my knee swelled from the pressure in the chamber. After all of this I now discover that even though the oral surgeon claimed victory and "it was just a bad tooth and not from an abscess" which he repeated several times, I now sit 5 months after extraction in the worse possible jaw pain you can imagine and the socket never closed. Now I have to see a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery because cancer had been ruled out from my 5th PET scan taken just before this extraction. Will keep posting as I learn more.
