My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer last year. She was on a chemo treatment that was shrinking her cancer but it was killing her liver. Her medication has since been changed twice and she is now on xeloda. Her cancer has spread and she has been given 3-6 months to live. I have been teaching her how to eat healthier and bought her a juicer. I am not sure if what the doctors say is true, just last month she was determined she would beat this. Has anyone ever been given this diagnosis and come back to beat cancer?

I hope this is the positive you are looking for....
I was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer with mets to my large and small intestine and omentum. After extensive surgery and very agressive chemo I'm happy to say that I am 100% cancer free and plan on staying that way. The fight wasn't easy and still isn't (and there is always the possibility it can come back). The fact of the matter is, however, I beat it. Best of luck and best wishes to you and your mother. Make sure she stays determined to beat this...mental strength goes a long way in this fight.

    Thanks for the encouragement
