Lumps in pelvis area an infection 3/4 weeks after surgery - a possibility?

Hi everyone,

Mum has gone down for first round of chemo and had some concerns about some lumps in her pelvic area (she can feel them). She had a CT scan today so they will find out tomorrow if she needs more surgery prior to chemo, but the doctor is hopeful it is an infection rather than tumours.

Has anyone else had this? It's been about 3-4 weeks following her hysterectomy and at that time she only had microscopic traces of the cancer in her lymph nodes. Could it possibly grow that fast?

It was an infection! So mum gets to start chemo. Very happy :-)

Tali...am so glad that the CT scan showed only an infection and your dear Mom can move ahead on her journey! Am sure you both breathed a sigh of relief!

Best wishes to you and your Mom as she moves forward with her chemo!!

Hugs! Karen
