Does anyone know of any support groups online? I am currently in remission from colorectal ca stage 3. I was diagnosed in Jan 2009 on my birthday. Had my first surgery in March 2009. Went thru chemo and radiation 2009 til 2010. Had several surgeries from 2009 til 2010. Had a feeding tube in last year for about 4 months. Lost alot of weight, I am now down to 78 lbs when in the beginning I weight 109/110. I also had an ilestomy (sp) and had surgery last yr in Jan 09 to have it reversed. Been in and out of the hospital many, many times I have lost count from 2009 til 2011. The most recent reason while be in the hospital is because of recurrent Urinary Tract Infections and c diff (which is very painful). I no longer am taking chemo (due to having probelms) or radiation. I stopped that last yr in Sept 2010. I am having alot other issues due to the treatments. My oldest daughter, 25 yrs old, who just moved here with her husband and boys, is having a hard time with me being ill still. She is going thru all the stages anger, being mad at me. She cries saying she wants her old mom back. I listen to her and resure her that we are blest because I am in remission. Thinking I am not eating etc. But I am. She doesnt understand that I have loose stools alot and that takes alot out of me. That when I get c diff it is so painful that I can not eat until I have the medication.

Anyway I am looking for any online support group etc for her. So she can try to understand or at least try to.

Thanks

Barbara

If you look down the discussion boards there is a "caregivers" and "emotional support" and a few others she may feel comfortable in. It is important that she not stress you out which it appears she is doing. Things are what they are and you are in remission so she needs to be thankful for that and stop stressing you with tears, anger, etc.
