    That's Merry Christmas in Cantonese (I live in Hong Kong).

    Wishing everyone happy holidays!

    I had chemo on Christmas Eve so it's a gentle Christmas for me. But, I'm surrounded by family. And my Christmas tradition involved lots of time in my bathrobe and slippers anyway (with occasional naps) -- so this one won't be much different.

    I'm still working on managing the pain. The pain meds I'm on, which is extended release morphine, is working much better. I started having bad pain again recently so we adjusted my dosage. Today's my first day on the adjusted dosage, and it's doing better. I am consulting with a radiology oncologist who specializes in stereotactic radiosurgery to have the cyberknife type procedure done on the tumor in my rectum that is causing most of my pain and bleeding issues. We hope that this will give me relief by attacking the source instead of just dealing with the symptom! Thank you so much for thinking of me.
