Mine is dark chocolate covered cherries. I can't resist. I've been known to eat a whole box during holiday time!

    Candy canes!
I do not each much candy (type 2 diabetic) I have always loved candy canes though. I know they are just peppermint but somehow the cane makes them more fun! Merry Christmas and God Bless

    Oh yes!
Cathedral Windows! My grandma used to make them when I was little!

    1/4 pound butter or magarine
    1 (12-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 cup chopped walnuts
1 (12-ounce) package colored mini marshmallows (about 9 cups)
    crushed walnuts
Heat butter and chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler over low heat, stirring occasionally, until melted and smooth. Cool slightly. Toss marshmallows and nuts in a large bowl; stir in chocolate. Tear five 9-inch sheets of waxed paper and sprinkle each generously with crushed walnuts. Divide dough into fifths and place each fifth on a sheet of waxed paper. Roll tightly into 2-inch diameter logs and refrigerate overnight or until firm. Before serving, unwrap from waxed paper and cut into 1/2" slices.

Yes, I can see them right now
And, I think you're right--must be local. I haven't seen them anywhere else.

    OK, Heather--if we're talking Easter
I love those horrible-for-you marshmallow peeps. I open the package and let them set a few days--to get kind of hard on the outside but still soft inside. I know--disgusting!

    Baklava
I always love it that stores bring in Baklava for the holidays. I could eat it year around.

But now I'm doing the salad thing because I need to lose a couple of pounds... so I'm walking around the Baklava in the stores!

    Oh, I love Baklava!
