yes!
I still vividly remember the pain after radiation for rectal cancer -- and that was more than 7 years ago. I didn't have a bidet but it would have been very useful. I do remember squating on the floor, in the cold, soaking my butt in a basin filled with warm water and something that stained my posterior purple! (but did bring some relief). Would have been much more civilized with a bidet or something similar.
