As you are aware I had some chest xrays and blood tests done a few weeks back due to the cough that I have had for about 5 months, and nothing bad was found. During these blood tests they did find that I was high on B-12, which the doctor said was fine. I recently went back and found out that my vitamin D was very low, especially considering that I am taking 5,000 units a day. Needless to say, I am continuing my supplements. The doctor agreed to take the supplements.

I had an ultrasound yesterday due to my bloating, and should hear the results soon. She did say, "I didn't find any water in you abdomen to cause the distention, some gas...but we will have the doctor take it from here.' I did not like that last statement, she did take more time on my right kidney then my left and do have some pain in that area. We shall see.

I am now being scheduled for my yearly colonoscopy. I can't believe a year as gone by already!

Justing updating you on me.

    Hey Nana!!!
Ya, you had that nasty cough for a long time! So it's gone now and they found no reason for it??? Hummmm..... that pain in your right kidney area...is it a steady dull pain or off and on? Good luck on your colonscopy and please keep us updated. You take care.

Hi Nana, for the cough, just
Hi Nana, for the cough, just a thought...sometimes other meds can cause a cough. I hope things turn out for the good on your ultra sound and the colonoscopy goes easy for you. I hated that test. My first was last June when I was diagnosed. Ok I feel like I'm beginning to ramble.

    Good luck, Gail

    spray vitamin D
    Hi Raquel,

Love those cookies! I tried to post earlier, but it wasn't working and I couldn't post to anyone's posts at all. Fortunately, the problem is now fixed. I also sent you a PM during that time & don't know if there was a problem w/ that too & if you were able to get it or not.
Anyhow, you may remember me talking about this a while back... but I strongly advocate using the spray vitamin D-3 especially if the pill supplements weren't doing it for you.
I used to take my D supplements in pill form & they didn't work- I tested my D level a month or so after starting the pills & it hadn't risen even one point (it was at 13). I found out about the spray form, which supposedly is in nanaparticle form & absorbs directly into the tissue in your mouth bypassing the digestive system. A month after being on that, my level went from 13 to 32. Another month & it was in the 40's. Checked a few months later & it was at 52. I should have had a D level test recently, but they messed up and didn't do it, so I need to find out what I'm at currently.
I got my spray vitamin D through Dr. Mercola's website (www.drmercola.com), but I know there are other brands available. I think they're still only available on the internet, as I haven't seen it in the vitamin stores or Henry's or anywhere. It cost about $30 for a month supply, but worth it if it works, right? I think if you order 3 months worth, the cost goes down. You may be able to find it less expensive on the web. Make sure whatever you order has one spray equaling 1,000 I.U. Dr. Mercola's has the recommended dose at 6 sprays a day (6,000 IU/day). You can obviously control how much you get or not by how many sprays under the tongue you take.

Hope all will be okay regarding the issue with your kidneys... am praying for you for that right now.

    Hugs,
    Lisa

    HI
Ultrasound came back fine. I still have the cough that gets worse at night. It sounds dry but sometimes I can feel some flem.

My right lymp node under my chin, right is sore. But thyroid is fine. After the holidays, I am replacing my carpet, washing all the curtains and just making sure it's not the dust. We live in the country and dust is bad.

    Thanks all....
