I'm familiar with California laws. In California you go see a Doctor who does recommendations, make sure you bring medical documents with you to prove a legitimate need. Pay your $100 or so and you walk out with a recommendation that allows you to posses up to 8 ounces and have six mature plants if you want to grow your own. I personally use a local co-op since I live right across the street from an elementary school, just wouldn't feel right growing it so close to a school. If you need any other info just send me a PM or ask here on the boards. It's the only thing that got me through chemo and allowed me to eat and gain weight back.

    Not approved in VA
I had checked and as of now it is not legal in VA even for medical reasons.

There are efforts in the works to change that, but no idea if it stands a chance.

Medical marijuana legal in Michigan, similar to California, went into effect last year. There is currently a 6 to 8 week backup of applications. Permit costs, I think, $125.00, allows you to have MJ and to grow your own plants or you can buy it from a co-op type store or something like that.

    In Santa Cruz
We can have as many plants as fits in a 10 x 10 foot area. I grow my own for butter, but buy from the stores when I'm out of butter. Not allowed more then 3 pounds at a time here.

Not sure on the laws in your state. I'm in California. Someone asked about the pill form, my pain doctor told me smoking is the most effective. I would get so nauseous and as soon as I took a puff, hit, draw (whatever) the nausea would subside. It was very very helpful to me. I used a pipe but they have vaporizers (expensive) now so you don't get any smoke - just vapor. I hope it works out for you.

As far as I know, only 15 states have seen fit to legalize pot
for medical reasons,(along with Wash DC) NY being one where you do what you gotta do. When running, current governor-elect Cuomo asserted he would not approve any bill legalizing its use in NewYork......Across the river, its legal in New Jersey. Its legal in:
Alaska; Arizona; California; Colorado;Hawaii; Maine; Michigan; Montana: Neveda; New Jersey; New Mexico; Oregon; Rhode Island; Vermont and both Washingtons......

Also, those interested in more detail, check out this site:

    for state by state info

    ......steve

(if anyone needs any help finishing theirs.......)

    Thanks everyone. A funny
Thanks everyone. A funny story though. When we were waiting for my mom to get out of surgery, i leaned over to my sister and asked who is going to get the cannibus for mom's chemo. She said "what is cannibus"? I said marijuana! Several people stared at us in shcck. We both looked at each other and laughed. Both of us are straight laced. Me-i've never had even detnetion or a traffic ticket; her well she wants to be an ordained minister. Even legally, that would be funny to see us assist our mother in that endeavor. She is a retired school principal-her record is squeaky clean. No cursing there unless it as at my dad lol!
