My mother's doctor advised her to take her medical bracelet and card with her to the airport to avid secueiry hassles.

    No problem
    My husband and I just traveled to and from Mexico and went through security. He has a port. No bells, or whistles happened. No asked him to show anything, either. He just walked through the regular detector liked everybody else did.
