A long time ago, when I was in high school there was a girl who had Luekemia. I still remember her name but I won't post it. We students all knew she had it but were not aware why her face was balloonish. I didn't then and don't still know how they treat luekemia.
Or if there was a treament.
Anyway the was a school dance and this girl kept starring at me. (and I wasn't anything to look at)
Well somebody came over to me and said "She wants to dance with you, ya big dummy". I went over and asked her , and we danced, a couple of times.
Later on in the school year she died.
I was glad I had asked her to dance. It taught me a lesson. A little act of kindness can be very big to the other person.
Oh btw one of my daughters carries her name.
