Remembring

This is a paste from another post. Please let us remember all the survivors and the ones that struggled and lost.

It seems like we give tribute to certain members and not others and this is wrong. Please give acknowledement to all members who have lost their life and the ones who are still fighting for a cure. We need not favoritisim.

We can't forget to mention the others that have passed this year either. Kimby, Peter were very much missed. Let us not forget others either that have passed. There are many others this year, but I've had such a day can't think of them. We have many to honor with our respects and losses on this board. All should be acknowledged not just some. Just want everyone to remember the others too when they post about a loss. There are many that have passed and we cannot forget them or single ones out. Please don't make a post about a single loss. We can acknowledge a loss in a post but please don't bring up just two people. We have lost many this year.

    As I posted on the other post, in my prayer, I mentioned only the ones that I knew.
    It was from my heart, not to offend anyone, I wrote that as I was sobbing over Eric's death.

    Oh No Worries My Dear
    You are such a sweet one for remembering and acknowledging those that you knew and your loss. I was just trying to mention that there have been many losses on this board this year and some seem to be singled out when the others are just as important. You my dear friend, have made no offense, but honored the memory of some very special people and so you are so a valued asset to this board for starting a post. Just wanted to honor the others that have lost there life this year also. Like I said, I'm so tired tonight and feel like I'm in the crash mode of some sort.

    Winter Marie, you are a breath of fresh air. Love your posts and keep that spirit that you have going.

    thank you Kim. Many have passed across all cancer boards. Ive tried to go to several cancer topic forums here in CSN over the last year and the Expresion board and chat. I know some types of cancers get limited participation due to the relative small rate of people who are dx with a particular cancer each year. Every year 550,000 human beings die from cancer or other causes as it relates to cancer. Thats 11,000 a week or 1600 a day and the impact takes a heavy toll on their family members, friends, and caregivers and changes people in striking terms. I want to believe in God but sometimes its hard. The suffering that often comes with cancer seems like it knows no limits and the scars left resemble that of a soldier taken POW where each day is hopefully a step closer to gaining that freedom and piece of mind.

    For everytime there is a human being that crosses our path in our lives, there is a moment to make a difference and offer kindess, compassion and understanding. Lets aspire to live for those moments and make a lasting difference.

    There is a tread started by Lisa42 in May called "Memorials" that recognizes and honors all that have lost the battle. The last entry was in September. Anyone can post on this tread and many have done so.
