Hello all, I wanted to thank you for your prayers and for being with me...the surgery went very well, I didn't have a lot of pain... they had to open me again 5 days after because the scar didn't have enouhg oxigen, but it was easier...the moment when I felt more pain was after they removed the drain, but it lasted 2 days...I am taking care of my self as you recomended, slowly and with patience as this whole process teach us!!!!
Before surgery my ps asked me if I wanted to have the expanders over the muscle, he said he had very good results with that and I accepted, I hope everything goes well with that....I don't know how common is it but hopefully it can be done this way more often...I let you know.

    Glad to hear you are hanging in there! It can all be so overwhelming, but you sound good, all considered. I don't know about expanders, I had a different kind of recon.. though I'm sure you'll be getting lot of response from the ladies who have experience with them. Before you know it this will be part of your past! God bless you, hugs...alison

    Glad everything went well. Thanks for letting us know. Yes, the key is to take care of yourself and take it easy. I had an expander put in during my surgery as well. I finished my fills, but then had to have chemotherapy. I see my plastic surgeon next week to schedule my exchange. Glad I made this decision too. Take care. Hugs, Jean
