Tattoo, Redo and Cancerversary
The day finally came and Righty received a tattoo. I posted it on my website if you're curious (mymastectomyonline.com)
To be honest, it kinda hurt. Funny huh? Considereing how bad a double mastectomy hurts!
Lefty that fell over got redone and I'm really worried about her. She hurts alot more than last time and is awfully purplely looking. Purpleness makes me think it could turn black and fall off. Only time will tell. I'll keep you posted.
9-9-09 was my Double Mastectomy anniversary and even though that day was super emotional I had to suck it up and endure a 4 hour job interview. But I got the job!
9-11 -Two days later was the tattoo and the redo. 9-11 is techncially what I consider my cancerversary. I was still in the hospital recovering biting my nails waiting for the news and was told my sentinal node biopsy was clear. I knew I was one of the luckier ones.
I sat down on the couch today and just started bawling. I really haven't had time to let out all the emotion. It was a lot to deal with all at once.
Coming here though gave me something to look forward to...thank you for listening!
Love to you all!

Oh SamuraiMom,
that is such good news on the node biopsy! And yes, things just come at you all at once, that when it's over, you just become overwhelmed. I think that "waiting" for ANY result from scans and biopsies is just so taxing emotionally and physically.
I sure hope Lefty heals quickly!
And AWESOME that through ALL this, you got the job!! A BIG congratulatory HUG to ya!!!

Congrats!!
Wow, what a couple of days you've had!! First off, congrats on your cancerversary! You've come a long way sister!:)
Secondly, anyone that can get through a 4 hour interview deserves the job! LOL.
That's great!:)
It's wonderful your sentinal node biopsy was clear. Awesome!
As far as "lefty" is concerned, I'm sure it's just bruised and beaten up. At least that's what I'm hoping. Just keep an eye on it and see the doctor if it doesn't get better.
You've been through a lot! Cry until your eyes are dry! It's OK. It's well deserved and healthy!!
Blessings,
Sally0
