Today's my B-Day and it's the fist time I've been happy about it

Yep... Today 47 years ago a fat little rollie pollie was born "Me" I really ever cared too much about my birthdays. Yes there was a few I liked. The ones when I was a little kid and got lots of toys. Then the one at 16 when I got my driver license. Then the one at 18 was kind of cool when I didn’t HAVE to listed to my mom and dad (I listen now). Then the time I turned 21 and woke up in Mexico having no idea how I got there. But this birthday seems to be the best one of all. I'm alive!!!

    Happy Birthday there buddy. Hope you had a good day. Mine's next month, 47 also. Seems like a popular age range for our group (under 50). Funny, I've always enjoyed birthdays. Looking back I guess I was always happy I made it another year. Even more so now. Here's to life, the best present we can get these days. Hoping you enjoy many more.

    I totally agree. I used to complain about getting old, never again. I used to view the elderly with pity, never again. I now realize the 70, 80, 90, even 100 year olds are the lucky ones. I hope I live to see 50. Amazing what a little cancer dx will do to ya.

    Hope you are having an outstanding day! Birthdays are awesome! I never hated birthdays, figured getting older beat the alternative, but since the diagnosis, that philosophy took on much more meaning! I feel blessed to see another day, and when 365 of them string together for another birthday celebration, I am truly blessed! Rock on!
