Hey Deb, I had my Trach out the same day you did, I Have expereinced the follong, neck is very tight, mainly from the hole healing, breathing is shallow, i still breath, but it seems muffled and congested. Any clues what this could be, when I sit i am fine, go to work after a few hours my breathing tires till I sit again, or get in the car, I am fine again, I am not going back to the trach, and wonder if I should look at getting my esophagus stretched, let me know how you are doing please, and your trach or anyone who has had a trach removed do to there throat cancer surgery.....thanks ...Someone told me my body has to get use to breathing on its own again and will take time reverting back....
