Given that KRAS/BRAF mutations generally preclude certain treatments (e.g. Cetuximab), I found this article about a very effective new drug specifically benefiting BRAF mutant melanoma patients interesting.

Of course CRC is a completely different animal from melanoma, even if the author does muse about potential efficacy for other types of cancer. And I'm sure we're a long way away from knowing if it might also work for CRC...much less getting FDA approval for such use. Though I wonder if one might be able to get a "compassionate care" exception for CRC use if one had essentially run out of other approved treatment options...
