Long term metastatic cancer survivors and Hope

All,

In doing research on EC metastasizing to the liver I found this article titled “Living on the Edge” - A growing population of patients have emerged: long-term metastatic cancer survivors. available at http://www.curetoday.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/article.show/id/2/article_id/1463 (cut and paste the link in your browser to access the article).

From that article was a quote that was touching and is a great compliment to Kitten’s great quote “"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about dancing in the rain."

There is Hope for all the victims of EC. Most importantly when dancing perhaps a powerful healing can come from a change in our thoughts to start LIVING with cancer, instead of dying from cancer. I definitely wanna dance.

    It was very uplifting. The only thing that was a little discouraging was that there were no EC survivors mentioned:( I've been looking for some kind of postive stories about that! My father is doing so incredibly well, yet his depression is holding him back from making the most of every day! If having stage IV mestatic EC cancer doesn't rattle you into living, what will??? So very frustrating!

    Definition of a Survivor
    The National Cancer Institute, which formally defines the word on its Web site: "An individual is considered a cancer survivor from the time of diagnosis, through the balance of his or her life.

    So every day your father is a survivor.
