I brought her a present one day, my little way of thanking her. She said patients bring us gift's all the time, I wish they wouldn't. It is us who should be giving them gifts, You Are I said, Everyday.

    Very true I have been blessed with some great Dr. and nurses along the way. I took my chemo nurses some goodies the day of my last trt. They told me the same thing, We should be giving you something. I wish I had thought of something that great to say back to them. God Bless

    It's so true. I gave thank you cards to my doctors and nurses. I also took a tasty treat, apple pancake, on my last day of radiation. I plan to do the same on my last day of Herceptin.

    While undergoing chemo, I asked my oncologist why he chose to go into oncology. It's a very difficult field and it's not for everyone. He was a little taken aback by my question, but he said that it was because he wanted to help people like me. That touched my heart. He is a good man and I am fortunate to have him as my doctor.

    I think people who go into oncology are very special people. The nurses who help with infusions are absolutely amazing. They are at the forefront of the battle with us, administering the drugs we need to fight the beast head on.

    Yes, I am grateful to my doctors and nurses for helping my with my journey. I am also happy to be done, done, done with chemo and radiation. I have Tamoxifen and other check ups, but the major stuff is all behind me now. I feel fortunate.
