Anyone take T/H without carboplatin? I looked up C on the internet and the side effects scared me silly. I'm going to talk with oncologist before I get treatmenr.

I took three rounds of the same drugs. Not to scare you because I had issues with all of my chemos and I had three different kinds. They kept trying to find one that I could tollerate. Had big "D" with all of them. I finished chemo on the 26th of Feb, 6 rounds and rads on the 2nd of July, 33 sessions. I am taking Herceptin every 3 weeks now until Dec 10 and Femara for 5 years. I had a 1.5 cm DCIS ER+/PR+ and Her2+. Not doing to bad right now. My body is starting to get back to some kind of normal. I am going for my Herceptin this morning.

Talk to your onc for sure. Make sure you are comfortable with the treatment you are getting and with you onc. I changed oncs in the middle of chemo because I did not trust my first oncs judgement anymore.

    Hi Pie
I am on the same cocktail as you will be. I don't have any real bad side affects. The week after Chemo, I am tired, a little bone pain, Nothing I cant deal with. And the week after I am good to go. I have mine every three weeks. The steroids keep me awake the days I have to take them. You can also try Claritin for bone pain. I use it and it seems to work. Of course Tylenol. Heating pads, Hot baths. And having everyone wait on you also helps. Just take it easy the week of Chemo, Hope all goes well for you. And do talk to your Dr with any concerns you have it is your body. Wish you all the best Take care Kay
