I have heard so many of you talk about how your taste changes after you start treatment. Some people say they can only tolerate a very bland diet and some people say they can tolerate only a mostly liquid diet. I've also heard about not tolerating cold foods and drinks, what is that about? I start my first treatment this morning and I am terrified not knowing what to expect. If any of you guys have any tips or advice about what to eat or not to eat during chemo treatment I would greatly appreciate it.

God Bless and thank you

    Taste changes?

Oh, I dunno.... I still favor tall blonds.

I did herbs so I can't speak from experience, but chemo is well
known to cause a ton of various neurological problems, and
the senses are often one of the skills affected.

Taste, vision, and hearing problems can be temporary, or permanent,
and only time can be the proof.

Even without the chemo, a major operation involving large amounts
of anesthetics and pain killers can often have the same result regarding
the taste buds, vision, etc. I couldn't eat anchovy and egg omelets
for almost a month after surgery.

    Better days will come!
