Hello
Can you tell your story please?
I was diagnosed in March this year. Stage 3A grade 1/2. My first CT 2 months after the surgery was negative. No radiation or chemo yet. I'm trying alternative treatments first.
I'm taking high doses of vitamins, minerals ,herbs prescribed by my herbalist and Reishi mushrooms (Ganoderma Lucidum) plus anti-cancer diet.
I’m so interested in the respond from others, I hope many of you will answer, and can you please include the type of treatments you had?
I had my surgery in January 09. I had the sandwich treatment with Taxol/Carbo finishing treatment in August 09. My first check-up after treatment showed my CA 125 at 39. It was as low as 14 during treatment. My CA 125 has continued to rise. My last one was 240's. However my CAT scans have been negative so far. My onocologist treats the CAT scan and not the CA 125. He said I would probably have to go back on treatment within the year. So far I have not had to have further treatment. Each check-up I wait for the news to change. But in the meantime, I am enjoying each day. Have made dietary changes, drinking green tea, exercising and meditating to reduce stress. Lets hope that all that works.
Stage 3C UPSC hopes to be able to respond to survivor question for a long time. I am only 55.
I am just finishing my chemo next week. Radiation is next. I am concerned about long term side effects of radiation.
