Confused re: staging...Any insight?

My mother had a full hysterectomy due to uterine cancer (stage 1) and they found additional cancer in the fallopian tubes, which were also removed. The fallopian tube cancer was stage IIc. I am confused because it was removed, but when I research what level IIc means, it shows that the pelvic fluid also shows signs of cancer. Could this be from the already removed fallopian tube cancer, or is this a sign of possible other cancer?

She will be undergoing 6 rounds of chemo, and I think it is as a precaution, but I am unsure about what the IIc pelvic fluid diagnosis means.

    Hello
There's a site NCCN.com that offers very thorough information regarding staging and treatment. The guidelines have recently been changed. You simply register on the opening page and the information is there.

    Best of luck,
