    Please call your endocrinologist
LID is prescribed by the endocrinologist. You also need to ask if you are getting Thyrogen or you need to go off your thyroid meds. If you do need LID it is already too late, and you need to postpone things as it is less than 2 weeks away. It sounds as though your doctor did not discuss the plans for treatment with you and you still have questions. Keep asking them.

yes 2 weeks is about the time you should be on the LID talk to your doctors you may be able to get away with shorter time but you need to tell them now so they can make sure you dont delay your tests more than you need to.
