Teresa, we'll help you get
Teresa, we'll help you get through this. I re-read your other post and think I figured out you are talking about chemotherapy. Is this correct? There are many of us on this board that have completed chemo and can help you with our experience. Please let us know what you learn tomorrow. Sending a ((((hug)))) to you!! Take care and be brave.0 -
Teresa, you'll make it!
Teresa, Chemotherapy scares everybody. We just don't know what to expect. I cried when I thought about going through it. But I found out that I was able to handle it and have finished and am on the other side of it. You will find that once you begin, you will become a warrior and will focus on making it through. Let us know what kind of chemo you'll be taking and how often. I'll be praying for you.

Try not to be too scared. We will hold your hand tomorrow and help you through this. Many others have gone through it and come through fine, and I'm sure you will too.
Please let us know what your doctor says.
Take care,

I have not met one person who enjoys going to the oncologist. lol But keep in mind, this person will be one of your new best friends for the next couple of years. Take 1 day at a time and keep your spirits up.
My friends call me the chemo poster child. I always walked into chemo with my hair done (ok my wig, lol) make up impecable and the latest clothing fashion. lol I may not have control of cancer, but i do control how i look and how i feel. And having a positive mind set is half the battle.
You are not alone in this journey and you are going to meet a lot of angels on the way. When things got rough for me, i worked out. Nothing like kick boxing or cardio to get your fears/concerns and all the built up anger out.
Keep us up to date

The weekend before my 1st chemo, i had a "taking it off" party. I had purchased a wig made of human hair, my hair dresser came over , and we had a small party. My instructions to her was to take it all off. My hair was long and beautiful and it took me years to grow and everyone thought i was crazy to have shaved it off. But in my eyes, i needed to have control of the situation, and that included WHEN i was going to loose my hair.
You have a couple days before chemo, try to spend them as stress free as possible under the circumstances. Go out with the girls for lunch, exercise, shop, anything that will raise your spirits and keep you occupied.
keep us up to date with your treatment
