I wish I really could have tossed that pump in the trash. Damn OXI! At home I could walk around barefoot. Now, I have to wear socks and shoes at work, my feet sweat, and my feet say numb all day(fingertips, too.) Been off it over a month now.

I'm 8 months out from chemo and still feel like I have wet sand under my feet. I was numb up to my knees, but that has disappeared. Only my fingertips are tingly/ numb now and some days are worse than others. I ignore it for the most part.

I never walked around barefoot and JUST got sandals yesterday. I know a preacher with neuropathy (not chemo related) who broke a toe and had gangreen before he realized it. He almost lost his whole foot! Now, he's a big man who admits that he cannot really see his feet.... but that scared me. I'm a klutz already!

Have a SUPER day! Oxi is good if it kills those sneaky cells!!

Gald you are back at work and finding your new normal. I didn't realize it until he was done with it but George really hated that pump. If he could, he would have celebrated being done with it and tossed it out. At the time he didn't complain about the pump but when it was gone, boy he was happy.

    Take care - Tina

    Pump
Since the insurance company buys the pump, we should be allowed to take that sucker out back and smash it to smithereens! Of course, if it did its job, I'm thankful for the 5FU in that stickin' pump.

P_I_T_A..I am 2 months off oxi and the neuropathy isn't gone but is better. Some days I hardly realize it is there; some days it won't let me forget it is there.

I hated the pump too. My insurance didn't buy the pump...it rented it so it had to be returned.I would have liked to have trashed mine too.

Congratulations on being off chemo. Now THAT is a great accomplishment!( hope the feet get better)
