Acupuncture is working!!!!!!

Hi ladies, remember when i said i was going to try acupuncture for the bone pain i'd been having due to mets to the bone, well it's working. The process is slow but i am noticing an improvement in my pain level. The dr had told me that it wouldnt work over night and i wasnt expecting it to but it is working. Anyway, some good news too. I've booked my reservation for my cruise to the bahamas for may 10th-14th. My husband an i will be celebrating out birthdays in may so it's gonna be our present to ourselves and boy do i need a vacation. I hope to be walking better than i am by then but i will be taking my scooter just in case and we did get a suite so the scooter will be able to fit in the room and on the balcony. Horay!!!!!!!

Anyway ladies i have another dilema that i'm hoping someone can help me with. Does anyone know where i can get life insurance that will take me with my health condition???????? I tried globe life and was turned down and i made a few other calls and asked questions over the phone only to find out that i would probably be turned down other places to because of it. Can anyone shed any light on this because i wanna get a policy going to cover my family in any event. Please help!!!!!!

Oh yeah, i'm still doing chemo every monday...3 mondays on and one off. It's working well. Tumor marker numbers have gone from 865 to 561. I was happy as all hell to hear that monday before my treatment. I feel great, look good and am looking forward to my cruise and saturday's acupuncture appt that i go to every week.

    That's great news!! So glad you found relief from your pain. You must be counting down the days until your vacation! What a wonderful way to celebrate. That's also excellent news about the marker level! I can feel your high-spirited energy through your words! You sound like you are progressing very well. Keep the faith.
    As for life insurance, I wasn't having much luck in that department either, then yesterday I received an offer for a policy from $3,000-$10,000 from Mutual of Omaha. No exam, no medical ?'s. It clearly says: "You can't be turned down if you're 45-85 regardless of any health problems you've had or have right now." However, there is a clause that benefits are "reduced" the first 2 years. The beneficiary will receive the full premium paid + 10% w/in that time. I'm still checking into it because it does mention natural causes a little too much so I'm wondering about sickness or disease.     Let me just say...I Love you! First, seeing your name on the boards made me happy, but knowing that accupuncture is working, OMG~ what a gift! You deserve every good thing coming your way, and that you and your hubby are going to celebrate and vacation is beyond words wonderful!

    I don't know about the healthcare/insursance question. If the damned congress and senate would just give US the health coverage that THEY and their families have...well don't get me started! LOL

    Stay Strong~ you are such a Warrior-Survivor! You definately put the GRRRR in Girl-Power!

    You have made my day! Seriously, you have Babe! I couldn't be happier for you! For you to finally get relief from your pain is just the best!

    I am wishing that you and your husband have the best cruise ever! You go girl!

    I wish I could help you out for health insurance, but, I know it isn't easy. Luckily, I had health and life insurance before my first bout with bc. And, after I was clean for 10 years, I upped my life insurance. Keep trying Babe. I am sure someone can help you out.

    I am glad that you are feeling better. Acupuncture is a great tool. I have been getting acupuncture to combat fatigue and lack of energy after Chemo treatment,
    Have a wonderful weather during your cruise, This is a nice way to celebrate birthdays!

    That's wonderful news and I hope you both enjoy your cruise.
    I too have found acupuncture helpful and I found out that the oncology center at Uneiversity of Maryland Medical Center has now added an acupuncturist to their staff.

    Not sure how old you are, but AARP also has a guaranteed life insurance policy. It has many of the same restrictions that Cathy mentioned in her post. So glad to hear the acupuncture is helping you. Good luck!
