Sorry I have not been on in a while. I'm now in my 2nd week of treatment. The treatment isn't so bad but the port is painful and the marrow shot's are very painful. (not the shot the effects). Ouy! |

sorry for the pain you are having did you tell the onc of the port pain ? It should not be painful I don't think but I only had one for a short while unable to do infusion due to being a brittle diabetic and bs went to 700 so am on xeloda but my port never hurt once the insession healed but I hope you do better

See Louann, I have no clue what your saying because I don't under stand all these cancer words yet. where can I find a glossary for such? I down loaded one with info on differant drugs , blood work , & such but lost it. Any ideas?

Pain Sucks
I hear what you're saying about seeing other people that are worse off, but don't let that stop you from trying to feel better. The week I get the marrow shot for low white blood count my Onc told me to take Claritin. Yah the allergy med, it seems to work for me. Talk to your Onc about it.

tell your Doc about the port
the port should not be painful, annoying yes, but not painful. Don't feel bad about complaining about chemo, we all know it is tough and not for wimps. Keep your chin up, you can do this!
