When its your doctor giving you the results of your brain scan. Thats what I heard today. Hip Hip Hooray!!! My pet scan results weren't as good but I was more afraid of the brain results. I have developed spots on my liver, glands, chest, and neck. In store for more chemo, but I can deal with it. This will be round two for me but on the bright side its only two more days to my first birthday. My wishes for blowing out my birthday candle are, first-not falling over after the big blow, second- we all beat this. Really no. 2 isn't a wish, cause I know I will kick this thing in the tail, its a prayer for you all to join me.

    celebration
    I would like to come. You have both inspired me so much I would LOVE to celebrate with you. And I love the new picture, by the way. CCAOG: FYI so hopefully you can relax a bit next time I was just told two weeks ago I had mets to my pelvis and brain. I went crazy -- something about the brain makes you a little more nervous. But -- I have been through WBR and radiation to pelvis and I have to say it hasn't been bad at all. Much less intense than what lung radiation was and only three weeks instead of 8. Of course I know it's awful to hear that diagnosis -- I just want to pass on it isn't the end of the world. I'm still fighting and hope all of you will celebrate with me in May of 2010. Laura

    A party every month...
    We need to have a party every month and invite anyone celebrating their anniversary sign up. We could have a guest list for everyone to sign who attended :-)

    I love a good party and I can't think of any better reason for a celebration than knowing someone has made it another year. It would be like celebrating your birthday and starting over at age one. I always wanted to be younger but I don't want to go back that far - LOL

    Continued good health to everyone!!!

    Oh no......
    Thanks nanaof7 for putting that picture in my mind - LOL You are right about Joe bringing humor to this site and it has helped me tremendously. Now everytime I see a posting from Joe I will automatically smile just thinking about him sitting at his computer in his birthday suit and his party hat. I love it!!!!!!!

    @CCAOG - Pleurodesis?
    I'm wondering if you had the pleurodesis done and if so, how did it go for you? I also congratulate you on your empty head! :) I'm up for a virtual party as well, sounds like a load of fun :)

    It was a no brainer
    When my oncologist and pulmonary Dr. said I should have a thorocenthesis just prior to the start of my chemo to see if the chemo keeps the fluid from coming back. It was my specialty, a no brainer. Had that done yesterday and felt so much better this morning. Started new chemo program this morning and so far, knock knock doing good. If fluid comes back again we will think about the pleurodesis.
