6 months ago had complete Thyroid removed. Currently on 250 mcg of Levothyroid. It took 5 months to get to normal levels. My TSH level is .35. Scared that cancer came back. Feel pain in my throat. Also, since it took such a long time to have my medicine leveled. Any advise.

My advice is to communicate with your doctor and if you are not getting complete answers, then find another doctor! Are you getting your treating at a major medical center? Do they participate in teaching and research? Your doctor's job is to DIAGNOSE AND TREAT. Not to be evasive. As a nurse who is also a thyroid cancer patient, I can relate to your fears. However, I would like to convey some feelings of calm and also confidence so that you can continue with your treatment and subsequent healing process.

I am going in for a follow up body scan in about a week. Have been on that darned low iodine diet, etc. , in preparation. Isn't that fun?
One thing that has helped me feel much better is taking vitamins, that are prescribed by a doctor. Cataplex C, and seaweed capsules have especially seemed to help both my energy and my attitude.

I wish you all the best on your healing journey.
