Does anyone know about the theraspheres, can you have a resection after tis treatment. Docs at Moffitt do not want to do resection, but want to do therespheres. I have called MD Anderson in Texas and am waiting for a call back, for a consult. I just want to be sure before I do this theresphere stuff. I am SOOOOOOOOOO confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    While You Are in Texas...

    I'm in Texas. I live in the Dallas area.

    While you are here in Texas or before you get here...you might want to call UT Southwestern Medical Center to see what they have to offer.

    I just completed cutting edge surgery on my lung using DaVinci robot surgical system that many hospitals in our area do not offer.

    So, UTSW might give you something to weigh against M.D. Anderson in Houston.

    Just a thought...we're 260 miles up the road on I-45 from Houston to Dallas.

    I trust this new hospital that I am at - might be good for you.

    Thanks for the response Craig! I think now they are going todo the theraspheres here in florida at Moffitt. Do you know much about it?

    Hi Christy

    I've never had that procedure done, so I'm at a loss to give you any advice on this procedure - though from what I've heard, it sounds very promising indeed!

    I'll be learning from all of those people like you who will be doing this and teaching me about it.

    Glad things can be done where you are at - that's always nice to stay close to home!
