    Yep
I was just about to post that link, Tashina.

The Post Office will not accept any mail to 'Any Soldier' or 'Any Wounded Soldier'. Sir Walter Reed Hospital will not accept cards to 'any wounded soldier'.

There's a bit you have to do to send cards through the Red Cross. You might ask local churches for names and addresses so you can include info about your family, etc. We have a full page of soldiers on or weekly prayer list wit addys. :o)

    You are truly an angel!
I am a nurse in a military hospital and our troops need our encouragement and support. Holiday cards are a great way to do that. You can use the info already provided or if you have a military base near you, you can drop them off at the gate and the security detail will get them to the volunteer services who will be sending care packages to overseas. I know here at Lackland AFB in San Antonio TX they have provided us with wish lists from troops in Iraq and Afghanistan (which is where the majority of our people are) for holiday items and letters from home or letters of encouragement are always on the list.
On a personal note to you Donna - Wow, you are truly an inspiration to me! What an angel on earth you are! You always seem to be thinking of others. You have been in my daily prayers and thoughts since I came to this board for encouragement myself. Every time I read one of your posts I am encouraged, uplifted, inspired, and renewed in my confidence that a positive attitude can conquer just about anything!

    Awww..
Thanks for that Janet, everyone here inspires me to be a better person then I am, I just bought a bunch of cards, and thought the extras could go for others. I like the link that TLG gave, but confused now, Nana, if I put "Any Navy Seal" would it get to them since Diane said to not address it to "Any Soldier", so now I'm wondering if I should put it as "Holiday Mail For Heroes" like it says on the site, what do you think Janet? if you have addesses, I'd gladly take them as well! and how to address it. I have to get it in by Dec 7, so they have time to distribute the cards. You are a sweet person, must be hard working in a military hospital, and seeing all the suffering they are in due to their injuries. You're their angel, that's for sure, to be helping them, it's tough seeing it. I hope to make them smile is all, even just for a second!

    More Specific Address
You know, I take the easy way, and just drop all my stuff off at volunteer services and they ship it one bulk package whenever we are sending supplies over. I will get with them and ask for a specific address and get back with you on that. I always mark everything 'For any military hero who needs a smile today'.
I have to say that working with our military (I am a civilian contractor) is an honor and a privilege for me. They are happy to be appreciated and/or encouraged in any way.
I'll get back with that address as soon as I have a chance to run downstairs.
You are doing a great thing that will lift the spirits of anyone who receives a card from you.
