Hey Moopster! We haven't heard how you are doing in awhile, and,

inquiring minds want to know. ( well I do anyway lol )

So, how are you doing? How are the treatments going? How is your skin holding up? Are you

getting rest? Feeling ok?

Ok, I know, a lot of questions, but, it is only because I love you and am concerned!

Post whenever you can. And, HI JOE!

Love, Jeanne

Hugs,

Noel

Hang on Moopy
Moopy Hang On
Hang on Moopy
Singing our song
Rads they are almost done
Then back home and having some fun
Lead singer in our new band
Spreading joy thruout the land
Punk rock princess, you go
with the moopinators in tow
Mohawks and hair pink or blue
Only we know what you've been thru
Happy Happy that's what I said
And from now on let's be NED

Not sure of the tune but them's the lyrics. Good, bad or ugly.

Wow, Steff! What fun and perfect verses. I had forgotten about your poet/songstress skills. I love it. As you remembered, my theme song is Hang On,Mooy, courtesy of Lynn. "From Now On, Let's Be NED." You want that to be the title, or something else?

You have copyrights, too, you know, so you could end up rich. Take those cute grandkids to Disneyworld every month!

I love that title Moopy. And I pledge all royalties from the lyrics to Breast Cancer Research. I used your theme as my inspiration.
The grandkids have been to Disneyland and once a year is more than enough.

Stef, that is sweet. Yes, we will donate most of our profits to research. We'll need some for hair care and promotional materials and a comfy chair for one of our two backup singers (that would be you, Pammy) to snooze in from time to time.

Thanks, Susan, for explaining Jeanne's cleverness. I did not get it and had to read your post twice to figure it out. Is there such a thing as Rad brain? Anyway, I like it, too, Jeanne.

p.s. Wish we were a successful band with big profits to donate to bc reseach, don't y'all?

As I've posted before...

Rad brain, chemo brain, mammo brain, pre-surgery brain, waiting for test results brain, etc. - it's all the same crap. Just variations of BC brain, I say.

Yeah, lotsa profits would be great. After expenses, of course - all donated to BC research.

Kind regards, Susan
(a/k/a Silly Girl, sometimes...)

P.S.: I think my punk rocker name will be... Xmas Girl! The X is kinda punky? And, my hair style is already in place... So short, easy to spike up with a little gel. Maybe I'll opt for metallic streaks - copper!

Totally punky, band promo goddess. And you do already have that cute short cut, true. Copper streaks or maybe just one big swath? Or maybe red in honor of MJ?

Your delighted friend and bandmate,
MM

p.s. Mammo brain? That does not sound good. I'm thinking whales or something. But, clearly, we survivors are women of many brains.

Jeanne, I think you've got it. I like the RAD B's. We all have had rads, right? Except Debibear, but we haven't heard from her...

Still need more musicians. We got a drummer and pianist accordion so far. How are you at guitar? Or faking it? We can rent the Rock Star game and practice.

I think we best rent Rock Star game and practice, a LOT! lol

But, I am willing! We will have a HOT BABE BAND!

Rethinking my choice of color for hair streak(s). Good one: red in honor of MJ (besides, I'm also Chicago Girl). Maybe bright yellow: Lance Armstrong/Livestrong Foundation, the ultimate cancer survivor hero.

Maybe purple: YOUR favorite color! Cat's, too, by the way. (Hey, Cat - we need you and your 4 tats, for street cred!)

Definitely need some guitarists. C'mon, ladies - step up!

Kind regards, Xmas Girl

P.S.: Don't forget Jackie on keyboards. She chose pink hair streaks - Tasha, turquoise (of course).

I like the name. Up until I heard that I was going to suggest The Mammoths. Or Ama Zon. But the other really works. I will have to put some green and orange streaks in my hair and I will punk it up. I can write lyrics and yes, money will need to be taken out for our creature comforts. Maybe I could play tissue paper and comb. We must have enough combs that aren't being using just now. We have to get some use from them.

Sorry, I forgot, Chicago Girl. (No, I won't make any jokes about Windy Girl.) Excellent idea re Lance. I suggest all 3 colors. Tash would fight you over the rights to turquoise, though, so don't go there.

We need our Cat, of course, and her cool tattoos. Stef still has hers, and I cannot imagine that Tasha has none. Jackie was thinking about it, last I heard. (Jackie--please forgive me that I forgot GI Jackie. Never again. You can wear any military look you want. Right, ladies, umm, fellow RADS B's?)

Stef, what is it with you tonight? Plenty of combs lying around? You can always be funny, but tonight you are killing me. One more falling on the floor laughing episode for me, and I'll be unable to strum my guitar, Rock Star game practice or no.

Hey, Jeanne, know anybody who has Rock Star? Or should I find a teenager and bribe him/her?

Thank you again, dear friends, for giving me a day--and evening--filled with laughter and companionship.

THE RAD B'S

I think I will put pink and black streaks in my hair. Pink for bc and black for my girlfriend that has skin cancer.

And Moopy, when you sending that young thing out here to teach me? Oh, yea the guitar! LOL

He is singing and giving lessons to his favorite stuffed animals.

Too funny.

Your kitty sure looks like she's a force on the keyboard or drums. Turguoise Girl is at piano/accordian, and G.I. Jackie is on piano. There's the zylophene or sax, or backup drummer....what do you like? How is your voice? Wanta sing?

Kitty also looks sorta intense, and we need a stage manager. How do you feel about bossing everybody around? Backup singer Bitty Boob(s) has already said she might snooze onstage...

But, you gotta work on the name. Kristen doesn't have that raw edge. Got an initial you want to add?

Oh,how sweet is that, Margo. We would love Jake, our brand new 6-year-old, to strum for us and conduct lessons. Only thing: he is so cute that I just know some of these girls are going to be oohing and aahing and not being attentive. Which means we probably need a stage manager. Xmas Girl has her hands full with promotions.

If I remember correctly you are a tiny gal 4'10 or 4'11 and have a small bosom, how about Bitty Boob. Like a takeoff off on Betty Boop. Or in honor of your excellent ranting, Rantalicious. Just suggestions.

Always clever, Stef. I like it--what about you, Pammy? Although you have the usual 2 boobs, so maybe you should be Bitty Boobs.

You are so right Moopy, Bitty Boobs is more appropriate. I think I will use the name Mammo Mia although I guess that works better for one with a mastectomy. But I don't care for Lumpo Mia at all.

After several moments of tearful and gut-busting laughter, my opinion is that Mammo Mia is better than Lumpo Mia, even if you do retain both boobs, as does Pammy. Although Lumpa Mia does occur to me. Do we have a prize for best name?

I love Queen. I only have one CD but it has what I think is the best of Queen. Oh, I'm wrong I have 2 CDs. My little niece and I used to challenge other family members to races in the pool and then being good winners we would sing We are The Champions of the World at the top of our lungs. And there are so many other of their songs that I just love. I knew that there was a reason I am drawn to Moopy, Tasha, and you.

I've owned all Queen's albums at one time or another, on CD or cassette or even (gulp!) 8-track. Kinda sorry I bought "Jazz," but what the hey. My favorite of all time is "Queen II," followed by "News of The World." Aside from the music, what I always appreciated most about Queen was their steadfast refusal to take too themselves seriously.

And if I were granted the power to bring one musician back from the dead, Freddie would be back among us today.

You, too? No cassettes tapes nor 8-tracks for me. (My parents owned an 8-track player, I never did.)

All VINYL - now, lots on CD; but, not all (regrettably). Do have the CD box set "The Queen Collection" - includes a "bonus track":

"Thank God It's CHRISTMAS" (for real! not kidding!)

I cried when Freddie passed - the first time, ever, for any sort of "celebrity"... Then again, for Frank Zappa. Just those two. So, when I read the last sentence in your post above - my heart skipped a beat. Saw Queen live every time they played here; if two nights, often went both.

Favorite albums: all. Can't choose. Forgive "Jazz"...

Other songs for Moopy Mohawk's band to "cover":
We Will Rock You
Now I'm Here
Save Me
Don't Stop Me Now
I Want To Break Free
UNDER PRESSURE (*)
I'm Going Slightly Mad
I Want It All ("and I want it NOW!")
The Miracle
Keep Yourself Alive

OK, I'll stop...

Kind regards, Susan

I still miss Freddie more than Frank Zappa, but just barely.

So happens I bought two Zappa karaoke MP3s online just yesterday: my favorite, "Broken Hearts Are For A55holes" (which I used to sing a capella with my little sister back in the day) and "Bobby Brown."

Haven't sung them for Moopy just yet...

Miss Freddie slightly more than Frank. Saw Dweezil Zappa's band, Zappa Plays Zappa, last summer. Talk about a trip back through time.

By the way - our very first date, husband and I, a Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention concert. November 1974. They played at some local community college out in the 'burbs (don't remember which one, there are so many) - in the GYMNASIUM! No chairs. Sat on the floor, which were covered with athletic mats. Absolutely true.

Yep, saw him/them, too. Every time they were here. Yep, often two nights in a row. Sigh. Crazy days. So much fun.

Kind regards, Susan

First Leon Russell (from Claudia)....then , Frank Zappa - Saw Mothers of Invention in concert. An old fave. Thanks for the memories, Joe.

My kids "love... love... luh-uh-uh-uv" (as the Beatles sang) music from the 60's and 70's which just makes me giggle. When I was their age I totally rejected my parents and their music. They are such a different generation. My daughter says, "Mom, I'm jealous; I should have grown up in the 60's!" Maybe it's because I was a late bloomer and didn't have my first child until I was 39. I am old enough to be my youngest's grandma!

Thanks for the memories, Joe. xoxoxo Lynn

Is what you need
Drop by drop they give it out
You just can't win
And so it goes
Each day the skin frys
These things they call rads
It's gonna make you cry
I've had the burns
The reds and the pinks
One thing for sure

(rads stink)
Rads stink yeah yeah
