I developed endometrial cancer last summer, had a hysterectomy and that was all that was needed. This summer I had terrible pelvic pain and discovered I had vaginal wall cancer. I had a petscan and it showed no metastisis that it was only in the vaginal wall. I have had 20 external treatments and have 8 left to go then 3 internal treatments and hopefully it will be gone. I asked my radiation dr. what stage my cancer was and he said that a reocurrance of cancer is not staged. He said only the initial cancer is staged which was stage 1. I was just wondering if anyone else has heard this or have they had a reocurrance staged?
Thank you, Michele
