Scheduled for a PETCT tomorrow as CA 125 has risen to 121. This is the 3rd recurrence in 10 years. I am very anxious and going through lots of emtotions right now. Reading all of your notes and letters gives me strength that I am not going through this alone. Keep me in your prayers.

    Hi Jean,
Best of luck with the scan tomorrow, I hope it's totally clear, but of course the CA rising is a concern.

We're all here to support you, and each other and I agree that it's so important not to go through this alone.

We'll be waiting to hear what the scan shows, or hopefully doesn't show and what your oncologist has to say.

I'll be praying that this is not the case. But either way, may the Lord keep you uplifted and strong, and mostly at peace through this. Those emotions can be plentiful right now. But I'm glad to hear this site offers strength and hope to you. You are DEFINITELY NOT alone.

    Hugs and Prayers,
    Monika

    PET results
Hi: Results of PET have revealed progression of cancer. A few small spots found in pelvic and abdominal area. No surgery necessary, doctor will call me back on Monday when he comes up with a treatment plan. This will be my fourth time. I pray that God will give me the strenth to fight again.

    Hi Jean,
I'm so sorry to hear that the cancer is back again.

I know the weekend will be difficult, waiting to hear from the doctor on Monday.
If you need to, please vent and share your feelings over the weekend, we'll be here to listen and give you support.

Let us know what you and the doctor decide on Monday, best of luck with the new treatment.

God will give you the strength, and the will to fight again!

Happy to have found this website
How wonderful to have people to talk to who are going through the same thing. I guess I'm feelinga little "numb" at this time because it is the 4th time for me. I will have to have a new chemo because I had a reaction (anti philactic shock) from the carboplatin. Don't know what to expect but I will know a little more on Monday. Not looking forward to all the side effects.

    Jean,

Sorry you will be going through chemo again. I start Monday with my second time. Like Saundra said seems like several of us are recurring together.

Guess this site will be busy! We will all keep each other updated, uplifted in prayer and give God the Glory no matter what.

I will be on cisplatin/gemzar this time.

How wonderful to have such a support group. I give God thanks for each one of you.

    In His Grip,
    Libby ☺ ♥

Yes, Jean, please keep us posted. I too have more stomach pain this time around on gem/cis and also left side pain but that is where the "ill defined" mass is.

    Love you,

Please let us know how your appointment goes on Monday. You are very welcome and I will keep praying for you. I think prayer is very powerful. I hope you have wonderful news on Monday!

I just had my appointment on Wed. My Doctor snipped at me after I requested to get a CT He Said "Now Lisa why would you just want to worry more.. you know there's no cure and it's not going to do any good to get a CT when the CA-125 will tell us for now what we need to know". I cried all the way home. I'm fine now because I know of women who have been cured.. his bedside manner is awful but, it's a good training hospital and he is the department head.

You are a wonderful Miracle. I did call my Chemo Nurse who I really get along with great. she wasn't shocked by what I told her so, I guess that should tell me they have heard it before. I wonder how he stays the Head of the Department?

Thank you very much Bonnie for the Prayers and Hugs! :) Hugs back to you and I keep you in my prayers.

    No News
Hi Lisa: The GI dr. sent me for a endoscopy on Tues. Monday night I had so much pain I thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room. Survivied until Tues at 8:30am when I had the endoscopy. The good news was there was nothing specific to report. He took some biopsies but found nothing to be the cause of my pain. I talked to the nurse at my GYN/ONC office. Asked her where do we go from here. I am only half way through my treatments of Gem CIS but I told her I don't think I could handle it again. I am waiting for the office to return my call. I am scheduled for treatment number 4 next Thurs. I'm not sure what to expect, but will let you know.
    Hugs
