i have m. s. and my husband had always been my primary caretaker then in this last year he got cancer . it was so hard on him to have to need my help and not still always be the strong one ... at first he refused to admit he was sick and needed help . once he could no longer keep denying it we had some rough time where we'd argue a bit .

he's not mad at me just that he can't still keep up with takeing care of me . i have a cna who comes into help me 3 days a week . he'll be referred to hospice ... for in home help .

we have always been able to understand each other not always agree but understand yes . we are watching our life change with the both of us being ill . and simply adjusting to new things as the illness chabges for each of us . call it instinct but we are able to accept these changes with very little discussion . i miss my strong man and he's grieveing his changed body and loss of his strength and abilitys . love conqures all and helps keep the frustrations in control .

    sally, an amazing testimony...
to the true meaning of commitment. '...we have always been able to understand each other not always agree'. When two people can face and endure and overcome in such circumstances as you and your husband are now experiencing, it is a beautiful thing to see.
    God bless you both.

we are not simply married we are truely soul mates
we both had been married once before . when we met there was this wild charge in the air and love was born between us . after we moved to this town it was just hubby and wife . people here would say no you are soul mates . it took time to really understand it . but now we do and know we'll ever be together

thank you for your encourageing words
