Well I got somewhat good news from last weeks CT scan. Nothing has grown so that is good. Something, which we really have no idea what it is, has shrunk. We will stay on the one drug only (Erbitux) which isn't as bad as taking both (Erbitux & CPT11). I also managed to get to skip a treatment today so I will have my next chemo on March 23rd, the day after Griffin's 9th Birthday! Then I'll do 8 weeks of chemo, then take another scan if things look stable still we may try a longer (2 month?) break. Since I had time to kill, maybe not the best choice of words, I went down to Guitar Alley in NYC where Manny's Music, Sam Ash, Rudy's Music, and a few other music stores are and played a few choice vintage guitars. Quite an enjoyable day after all. Make the best of them when you can!

    Wow
That sounds like some pretty good news Phil. It hasn't grown is wonderful news and the other has diminished is awesome. So glad that you get to take a break from the chemo for a bit and then only have to go on the one is some encouraging news.

Bet you had a blast in NYC and let your hair down a little - glad you could enjoy your time there. I bet the guitars were awesome.

Keep up the great spirit and the inspirational posts you write.

    Sounds good!
I think it sure does sound pretty good, to even be on just one drug, sounds very hopeful and am sure you'll still do great on it!

I'm from Long Island, NY, and sure do miss the city, sounds like you had a blast in the music stores, keep on rocking!!

    Hi Phil,

I'm glad to hear your good news on the scan. I'm also so glad that you have music as an outlet. Music is sooo good for the soul, isn't it?!
Take care and enjoy your boy's 9th birthday too (my son turned 16 today).

    Blessings,
    Lisa

    Great News!
Hey Phil... that is wonderful news!! Whenever the plan is to wean you off of chemo treatments and see if everything remains stable, then this is a good thing! I find whenever I get good news, no matter how big or small, it makes the world look like a totally different place... even if I've had a positive outlook prior to the results.

    So enjoy your wonderful life!!

    Huggggggs,

    Cheryl
