be sure the top of the catheter bag does not get crimped so as to stop flow from the tube. mine did, and i was in terrible pain because the urine had backed up. once i removed the crimp/crease in the bag -flow started normally. i had my wife tape the top of the catheter bag so that there would be NO WAY it could again become inadvertedly sealed.
