Weird test results

Hey all,

I had my year check up in December and had to go back for 5 scans!!! There was weird uptake of the radioactive iodine in my bowels they said but I didn't know if that was normal. The nurses said that I broke their record for the most amount of times somebody had to come back for a scan!! yay for me (*rolls eyes)

anyways, My weird tests.

So when I got my results they said that there was no radioactive iodine uptake (except that weird colon thing but it went away), but my blood tests showed high thyroglobulin levels. And they increased a lot when I got my thyrogen injections. My doctor said that as abnormal but he's sending me to another specialist for a second opinion. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows what I should expect. Right now I'm just in the dark and I would really like to have some idea of whats going on.

Thanks

Meagan

    Wow
    Hi Meagan,
Sorry I can't help you out with your question. I just wanted to tell you to hang in there and try not to let this issue get to you. I know that it's easier said than done but just wanted to let you know I'm here for you and please let us know what happens and what the second specialtist comes up with.
