Has anyone esle dealt with this? My dad has had this problem since September. Doctor finally gave him fluid pills in November (week of Thanksgiving). He lost 15 pounds of fluid in 10 days. Doctor says this was a good sign. He is also on chemo. He was supposed to go down to one pill a day but my dad is stubborn and thinks that he also has a medical degree and he stopped taking the pills. So, this week, his stomach (fluid) came back. Has anyone had to stay on fluid pills for a while? Also, I was so excited because I thought that the chemo was working when the fluid disappeared so fast, now I am not sure. Was it working and needed the fluid pills to help it our or was it not working at all? Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Jennifer
