I'm so very sorry about your husband. Please know that we are thinking of you and praying for you. Please come to the board if you need to connect with people who understand.
I'm so sorry to hear of your husband's passing and hope that you can get some comfort out of knowing he is no longer in pain or suffering at all. I wish all the best for you and your children.. just take it one day at a time, and when that seems overwhelming, then one hour at a time. We are here if you ever want to just come to vent, talk or hang out with people who understand.
I just wanted to add my words to the many others already expressed here. May God give you strength and courage to face the days ahead. You will be alright & you know that your husband is no longer suffering. If you're a Christian, you may be familiar with the words from the old hymn "Because He Lives"- I had it played at my dad's funeral a few years ago and I cling to that thought a lot as I go through my own health struggles now... "I can face uncertain days because He lives" (meaning the Lord)
SO very sorry for your loss. Please know you and your family are in my prayers. Please let me know if there is anything you might need or something I might be able to do for you.
GOD BLESS YOU and YOURS

Trite though that is, I don't know what else to say. I am sure the holidays will be difficult.
I hope that, at some point, the sun will shine for you again.
