Ladies I made it..no more chemo,tests or Dr. visits for another 8 weeks!!! I finished my 6 cycles of Topotecan with a ca-125 of 15.9. I made chocolate cupcakes for all the office helpers,chemo nurses and of course the Onc to celebrate this final day!!! I feel like I have a million things to do and wonder why?? Probably because I have been on chemo for 11 of the last 15 months and the 4 month break I had I was recovering from congestive heart failure and ascites. So....I plan on checking out the local gym..it's included in my ins and I have never used it yet.I have lost alot of my muscle tone..plus need some color on my face..I live about 500 yeards from the water....another thing I have not been taking advantage of..sooooo I think I'll get busy with the business of living!!!(((hugz))) and prayer to you all. I'm gonna see if I can make it at least 1 day without thinking about cancer....~~~~Joanne

    YAY JOANNE! What a wonderful day for you! I love your goals - the gym, swimming, LIVING! That is so wonderful. Sending lots of Hugs, and continued prayers for continued health and joy!

    Dear Joanne, what wonderful news. Two months is a great vacation from chemo. I am praying that after my next 4 doses I can get the same news. I am getting sicker with each treatment or else just getting tired of it. had nausea this time and a red rash on chest and arms and face. I will pray that you can get cancer off your mind and build up your body. Saundra

    Cancer treatment is an interesting mirror on perspectives. The rigors of treatment have such peaks and valleys, and require such focus and dedication that there is a tendency to "let down" when it concludes. It is nice to hear you looking ahead and thinking about what you want to do rather than what you have to do. My wife's personality has almost overwhelmed me she has such determination to garden and do stuff. I'm kind of along for the ride, so to speak. Anyway, Floridajo, watch out for jellyfish.
