I just had to write to say that even though I don't respond to every post, I do read them and feel so proud to be a part of such a great group of women. You are all so supportive. When I was first diagnosed in 2006, I was directed to this site immediately, and it has been a constant help reading the posts. When you come to this site you know you are not alone.
Blessings, and thanks to all of you.
Toni

Toni, I was just thinking the same thing! I've been here since Sept. 2000. I rarely post but I'm here several times a day. I thought when I was going thru my ordeal, that we had an amazing group and we did, but you guys are even more amazing. I think the size of the group has doubled which in some ways is sad, but in others, says good things about this site! Thank you all for being so understanding and insiteful and helpful! You're an amazing family and I'm proud to be a part of it. HUGS!! Cathy

    Toni,
I am new to the Chat since 2008, January. This group has helped me so much and has meant so much to me. It is so helpful to see long time survivors and receive encouragement/advice. Angela

Toni, you echo my sentiments exactly. I try to post when I can and if think I have something to share. It's my way of trying to say "thanks" to all of the wonderful women who have jumped to my aid each time I've needed them. Thanks for saying what we are all thinking. Marilynn
  • Count me in too, ladies. Love you all. It is nice to hear from sisters who are readers but not often posters. Isn't it funny how someone can write something to someone else that still hits directly home and gives strength or a new angle to someone else. I just had such a moment when I was feeling a little scared of the future and read a post about doing everything to fight, aggressive treatment, etc. and not try to avoid the battle and thereby lose it. Just the words I needed to make me feel safer. Sorry I can't credit the speaker - but thanks! Lets keep this board alive! Love, JOyce

I'm glad to hear you were told immediately about this site...many people I talk to are not...

Helping others isn't all about the '15 minutes of fame'...sometimes it's so subtle, you don't even know it happened...but it happened all the same...

    Hugs, Kathi

When I am in either my surgeons office, or have an appointment with my oc, I openly start a conversation with someone sitting there and tell them about this site. I write down the e-mail address so they can find it. I have no idea if anyone comes here because I shared this information with them, but it is the only way I can try to let them find the kind of support they may need, just as I have found with all of you. I love this site, and come here daily too, read what I can, and am so grateful to have all of you in my life.

I agree. I would never have thought that I could become so attached to people that I have not ever met in person. I can't imagine not having all of you in my life. You are all incredibly special. Hugs, Eileen
