i have been battling the oc since 2005. I have been on this board, mostly reading and getting inspiration among other things! I went to the er sunday and on a cat scan they found a tumor on the brain. I know no details, as of yet. I have more scans and tests wed and see ono on friday. I hope you all pray and if you have words of encouragement, would be deeply appreciated. You are all in my prayers.

My favorite calming writing: Author unknown: " Sometimes the Lord calms the storm: And sometimes He lets the storm rage and calms His child." I have found great calmness by repeating this. My cancer had spread to my liver when I was diagnosed and everywhere in between so I have experienced some of what you are at this time. I am so sorry that you are in this now. I have learned that a ct can not tell the difference between a tumor and a fluid filled space, for your future reference. God can also enable great treatments so just take it one day at a time and keep Him close. I will be praying for you, Debbie. Saundra

Thank you Saundra, I just wrote that down. I have a lot of faith in God and this website has given me so much strength. I really run from any kind of negative stuff, as we have to! And I never run into it here. What a bunch of beautiful people. God be with you and you shall be in my prayers also.

I agree with Saundra - this test may not be conclusive. I'm glad that further tests are forthcoming - please keep us informed.

I am especially thankful that you have a faithful spirit and you know your Source of Hope and Peace. I too have gotten through many difficult times in my life only because of God's grace and the Peace and Joy that He has given me. And I am truly blessed and thankful for each moment that He has enabled me to remain with my family. You are in my prayers, and I am sending a load of HUGS too! We'll be waiting to hear from you.

Its 1:30 a.m.- not able to sleep today is my cat scan and mri and labs. I guess i'm a little anxious. I've been writing in my journal, thoughts and prayers. I do so love the Lord with all my heart. I so much appreciate your words of encouragement, this is really so uplifting for me,Thanks again and God be with you all, I pray that you feel his wings around you protecting you. I think thats in Psalms somewhere. Well I took an ativan,so maybe that will kick in soon.

    Debbie:
I spent many sleepless nights as well, and would sit at my computer also to while away the hours, hoping to get drowsy so I could fall asleep. I also found many comforting words here. And the scripture I believe you are referring to is Psalm 91 - 'His angels shall have charge over you', 'He shall raise you up on eagles wings' (I'm paraphrasing). But I have a very interesting experience about Psalm 91 which would be much too lengthy to go into here. Nonetheless, read it all and find comfort in the promises that God has given you. It got me through many, many tough hours.
    Hugs & Prayers!

    Dear tdb1985,
I'll be keeping you in prayer that these newest test results give better news. I was told to say this line three times each everyday..and it helped me."through his stripes,I am healed" I am curious to know why your Dr. ordered a ct scan of the head as well. Like Nancy I have never heard of that...were you complaining of headaches or something?? Praying for you and sending healing (((hugz)))~~~Joanne

Actually, I have been on antibiotics for a sinus infection, by my MD. I have had them before, just like this, on my second round of antibiotics my headaches was getting better, then worse, so sunday i went to the emergency at the hospital. I know ov ca can metasize (SP) to the brain, just had to see what was going on. ER doc ordered the cat scan, all thats available i guess at the time. He call my ono, who then scheduled the mri and labs and another cat scan. He also said it very rarely goes to brain. And he said that the chemo, which i have been on, does not go to the brain. Have to do radiation. I'm not sure if he means any chemo or all chemo does not reach the brain. Hope this helps you all. Thanks for the (((hugz))) right back at you!

I am not sure where I read this, but I have recently. I'll find it.
As far as my visit, the ov ca that met to liver is gone now, and we are going into 10 days of whole head radiation. There are 3 small tumors. Drs are very positive and so are we. I have been thanking God and all who have prayed. Maybe it was here that i read it, but ono confirmed it
