Hi All,
I have been away for a while. Finished chemo 4 weeks ago, went on vacation, then busy with Christmas. Anyway 2007 was a year of change for me. I was dx in April, surgery, radiation/chemo, more chemo and now trying to adjust to the side effects and new bowels. I celebrate 2007 because it was a year of awakening to the grace and love of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. Seems I have always believed, however I didnt practice my faith like I have this year. He never ever left my side. I am grateful for my relationship with him, it has grown through this ordeal and I have grown also. I know that there are a lot of people just now starting this journey and a lot who have not made it here on Earth. Please know that whatever happens if you believe, things will turn out good. I pray for everyone on this site because the people here have been a Godsend for me. Have a Happy New Year.
Love, Robin

    Hey friend, I'm with you.

I was dx'd 1/07, resection 2/07, 6 mos of chemo treatments, finished treatments in September and am feeling great.

What a year it has been, God has been so good to me. Sometimes God has to hit us between the eyes with a big ol' board before we realize that He is in control and with us through everything, good and bad.

I, too, am so thankful for this forum and the amazing people that have shared their experiences with me. Don't know about you but I'm praying for an amazing NED year for all of us!

    Love to all of you.

    Hi Robin,
It funny how it takes a crisis in our lives to turn back to the Lord. He has never left nor foresaken us - just waiting with open arms. I was dx in 2005 with Stage 3 and then had a met to my liver at the end/2006 beg/2007. Thank God the doctor was able to remove the entire tumor. May you have a good 2008.

    Robin,
You said it well!!! My 2007 started with surgery in February, 4 more months of chemo, broken foot in June, bowel obstruction surgery July, wound that still hasn't healed to date, NED in September, Osteoporosis diagnosed November, and 2 precancerous melanoma moles removed early December, still NED in December. CRAZY!!!! I couldn't be happier going in to 2008. It was going to be a tough year and it definitely lived up to it's promises. I am so grateful to have made it. I thank God everyday for still being here. I never would have imagined something so horrible could change my life so much for the better. Hope you have a great New Year.
