Hoi, just wondering, how long does it usually take to get PET scan results? Mind you I haven't even had it yet..LOL...or CLO (CRYING OUT LOUD):(
I'm trusting God for the results but anxious to hear them!

    Hi,

I had one Tuesday and told my Dr. to call me with the results as soon as they got them. I got the call Wed. morning. Most of the time if you let your doctor know the waiting really bothers you, they won't keep you hanging. Good Luck!

    Hi,
My mom usually had to wait between 5-7 days. The waiting was so hard, but you've got the right idea....trust in God!!
    God bless-

Hi - I am sure this varies by radiologist. Mine gets results of both PET and CT to my oncologist by approximately noon the day after the exam.

It seems it doesn't matter how long you have to wait - it's ALWAYS too long!

Here's to good results when they DO come in!

I think it varies with who and where it gets done, etc. I got results in less then two days this last time. A bigger busier place might take longer. Just hang in there...waiting for results is so nerve wrecking...we understand. Good luck to you.

Waiting is the most difficult part of the scan! My radiologist office gets the results back to the oncologist's office within 24 hours of the test. My doctor would always call me as soon as he received the information. However, I don't think many oncologists are that punctual.

    Hugs,
