I just found out after talking with the home heathcare nurse that hooks up by Dad's 5 fu pump that his dosage is half of what it should be. The only reason I found out is because I told her my Dad's tumor markers were going up and that the doctor said we are running out of options. I called the doctor's office and said I was right and that they don't know why that happened. Nobody wants to take resposibilty for the huge error. So my Dad has been on the wrong dosage of Folfox for 3 cycles!!! Unbelievable!!!

yeah unfortunately I can believe it. When my hubby was sent to the hospital with a bloodclot, they gave him coumadin, after the oncologist told them NO COUMADIN on the phone, because of his xeloda. They do not mix and it could have been deadly. They also sent it home with him ! The onc called us next am thankfully to check up on him when we "discovered" the error. There is no excuse for these types of situations to happen , not in such serious situations. I filed a complaint. You need to also to prevent it from happening to someone else. I hope your dad's correct regimen will turn the cea down. Thank God you talked to your dad's nurse! God Bless , Diane

Thanks for sharing. I am going to complain to the doctor's office and the insurance company. No one wants to take responsibility for the mistake. All I can do aside from that is pray that this will make the difference in his CEA.

I hope your husband is doing well.
