Hello everyone,
I just wanted to see if anyone has taken Etoposide. My mom just started it two days ago. Any advice will help.
Thanks,
Margarita and Stacey

I have heard that it is an easy chemo to tolerate, it has it's side effects like fatique, and mild nausea...but I have heard it works very well. Not so much at having the ca-125 go down but to keep it steady..it should help slow down the progression of the disease.

Margarita and Stacey, Just want to say good luck with the oral Etoposide. While I haven't had it yet, it's on my list. I would look forward to the freedom of oral administration to be able to get out of town more often, but hope that the nausea is controllable with anti-nausea drugs, cuz what good is a trip if you are sick all the time. I have heard of the drug often, here, so hopefully you will get some good input soon. Best of luck to your Mom and you, too. Lot's of lucky Mom's with daughters on this board. All good thoughts and healing prayers your way.

I have been on etoposide(oral) and took it daily for 4 months. My ca125 would fluctuate so for me it kept the disease stable. I know others that have had better results. It was one of the easier drugs for me. Bonnie
