I've been participating in a clinical trial of Exelixis' XL999 for over a year, now. It was suspended to investigate cardiotoxicity, and it's finally reopening again. I have NSCLC, which has been held in check by this drug - I'm excited to see the trial opening up again! Please, ask your doctor about it! |

Hello, we live in Turkey. Do you have an idea how we can join this trial. My father has NSCLC stage 3.

Hello, karacahm - I have to say I don't know, this might be only a US trial. You can go to www.clinicaltrials.gov, and type XL999 in the search box. I was reading online today, and it seems they are reopening the trials as a Phase 1 again, studying safety and dosages. The company that makes it is called Exelixis, at www.exelixis.com, and their website also has links to the clinical trials. They're working on other drugs, too. Other companies are working on the same types of drugs (multiple kinase inhibitors, but don't ask me what it really means :-)). Best of luck! - stayingcalm
