My husband has been diagnosed with radiation induced osteonecrosis of the sacrum. He is suffering insufficiency fractures and is in quite a bit of pain with trouble walking. I have read about pericutaneous cement injections. Has anyone else had experience with osteonecrosis (not of the jaw) and if so, any information about treatments? We are having difficulty getting help. Zometa has been suggested by his onco but his ortho retired between ordering the bone scan and receiving the results. We are having difficulty finding other doctors to take him.
